Dr Cohn obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with honours from the University of Melbourne in 2000. She undertook her internship and residency at the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
She completed a Master of Medicine in Inherited Eye Diseases at the Centre for Eye Research Australia, leading to publications and presentations in Australia and overseas. She was admitted to the accredited ophthalmology training program at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in 2005, then worked as a Senior Registrar at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Monash Medical Centre.
Dr Cohn spent three years in London as a Medical Retina Fellow at Moorfields Eye Hospital. Since returning to Australia, she has been appointed Head of the Medical Retina Clinic at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. She continues her research as a Senior Research Fellow at Cerulea / Centre for Eye Research Australia, with interests in age-related macular degeneration, inherited eye conditions and diabetic retinopathy.
Dr Cohn’s clinical work spans cataract surgery, retinal laser treatment and intravitreal therapy, supported by hospital and private consulting roles across Victoria.
Dr Cohn continues her research as a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Eye Research Australia / Cerulea. Her current areas of interest include age-related macular degeneration, inherited eye conditions and diabetic retinopathy.
